Guru Purnima, "the full moon dedicated to the Guru", is a festival in the spiritual tradition of India dedicated to the Guru, but it is also celebrated in many other parts of the world. The word "Purnima" means "full moon," so "Guru Purnima" is celebrated during the full moon of the month of Ashadha (which generally corresponds to July or August in the Gregorian calendar).
During this festival the connection with our own Guru, or spiritual teacher, is honored and celebrated, offering prayers, ceremonies and spending the Full Moon night chanting Bajans (devotional chants).
Guru Purnima is celebrated every year in Babaji’s ashrams all over the world and it is a special opportunity for gathering and sharing among devotees and spiritual seekers.
Every year, this event is organized alternately by the european ashrams of Babaji, a multi-day gathering where devotees have the opportunity to reunite and experience firsthand the life and spiritual practice.
We are happy to announce that this year the international Guru Purnima celebration will be hosted by the Bhole Baba Ashram, founded by Lisetta Carmi in Cisternino, Puglia. This is the first Babaji ashram built in Italy in 1979, and also the first ashram in Europe.
The gathering will happen from 6 to 10 of july 2025, and will be a unique opportunity of sharing and celebrations. We will spend 4 days together, not only participating in the daily rituals at the Temple and Dhuni, but also performing 4 Yaghias (fire ceremonies) and deepening our Sadhana (spiritual practice), as transmitted by Babaji Himself.

It is possibile to stay in the Ashram in shared accommodation in the following room types:
Dormitory (5/8 beds): € 140 total, € 35 each person per night.
Two or four bedrooms: €180 total, € 45 each person per night.
Unfortunately the availability of beds is limited, but it will also be possible to staying in camping with own tent and camping equipment or own van/caravan, for € 100 total, € 25 each person per night.
The requested fee is inclusive of the accommodation cost in shared room with shared toilets, full board (lunch and dinner) starting from the dinner of 06/07/2025 and ending with the lunch on 10/07/2025, and all the activities in the daily schedule:
The fee does not include the membership card of Haidakhandi Samaj Cisternino, €10, one year valid, mandatory to stay in the ashram and participate in the activities as a member.
The breakfast is available as an extra at Chai-Shop.

From 0 to 5 Years: Free
From 5 to 10 Years €40 total, or €10 per day to cover the meals cost.
For all the people who will prefer to stay in external bed and breakfasts or holidays houses, but also for the people residing here in the area, it will be possible to participate as external guest for a fee of €80 total or €20 per day, including lunch and dinner and all the activities in the schedule + €10 for the membership card of Haidakhandi Samaj Italiano, one year valid, mandatory to participate in the activities as a member.
For all those who prefer to have more privacy or more comfort, Itria Valley, offers a wide range of accommodation, such as bed and breakfast, holiday houses and hotels.
We recommend to book your accommodation as soon as possible because july is considered high season and Itria Valley is becoming more and more a popular destination for tourists coming from all over the world.

From North Italy/Bari: Autostrada A14, exit Bari Nord, then SS16, SuperStrada Bari-Lecce, following the direction to Brindisi until the exit Cisternino-Ostuni. From there follow to Cisternino. From Cisternino follow for Martina Franca.
From South/Lecce: SS16, SuperStrada Bari-Lecce, following the direction to Bari.
By Train:
The nearest train station is located in Fasano, 20km. approx. where all trains stops, both coming from North and going south towards Lecce and coming from South going North.

The nearest airports are Brindisi “Aeroporto del Salento” 60km distance, and Bari, internationa airport “Bari-Karol Wojtyla” 90km distance.
Arriving and departing from Brindisi is more convenient, both time-wise and money-wise but Bari airport offers a wider range of internationals flights.
From Brindisi airport:
Bus service available to Brindisi Central Station, the bust stop is just outside the Arrivals exit, departure every 30 minutes.
Tickets on sale at the bar or online. From Brindisi Central station you can take the train going towards Bari and you get down at Fasano station.

At the arrivals gates, exit going toward the left direction. Outside, on the opposite side, you will find the train station, connecting the airport to Bari Central Station (20 minutes approx, tickets available online or at the vending machine in the station), and the bus stop for bus going to Bari Centrale.
From Bari Centrale station you take a train going to Lecce, and get down at Fasano Station.
